Cross Country finals at East Court

Another year and another beautiful cold day at East Court for our Cross Country finals.
The course was tough this year due to the muddy terrain and all the children did brilliantly to finish with smiles on their faces.  The top 15 boys and top 15 girls will go on to represent Mid Sussex at the County finals in March.

Our 2017/18 Leadership Academy is launched

The Mid Sussex Active’s Leadership Academy launch was held at Sussex Cricket ground.
75 pupils from our secondary schools all came down to the Sussex Cricket ground for a day of looking at what makes a good Leader, some team building activities and then a practical session in Sussex’s indoor training school.  A massive thank you to all the SSCos and also the the Sussex Cricket Foundation for allowing us to use their amazing facilities.

2017/ 18 Sports Hall Athletics begins…..

Our cluster round Sports Hall Athletics events are underway to find out which schools will take part in the Mid Sussex final in January.
3 events are now complete involving 15 primary schools.  Halsford Park Primary School, St Peter’s Catholic Primary School and Lindfield Primary Academy have booked their places in the final.

Handball Festival

An amazing handball festival was held at Warden Park Academy for more than 90 year 4 and 5 children.
All the children participated in a variety of skill based activities led by the Warden Park Leaders and then played some games at the end.  The children had a great time and a huge thank you to the Leaders for running the session and Warden Park Academy for letting us use their sports hall.

Mid Sussex Active’s annual Inclusion Festival

200 children took part in Mid Sussex Active’s annual Inclusion Festival.
Children from KS 2 & 3 camef rom 16 different schools to enjoy a morning of Boccia and New Aged Kurling.  It was a fantastic morning of sport.
A big thank you to the amazing Sports Leaders from St Paul’s Catholic College who officiated, the Triangle for hosting and Mid Sussex District Council who supported this annual event.
